Laurel is a multi-genre writer whose work includes middle grade and young adult high fantasy books, non-fiction articles and devotionals, and fantastical children's books. She's a member of SCBWI, living close to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado Springs, Colorado. When she's not writing at a local coffee shop or daydreaming about her next project, she's often found reading with her local book club or going for sunset mountain drives with roommates.

 

She is passionate about spreading awareness and educating about the chronically ill community, as a member of it herself. Much of her non-fiction writing has centered around life with Dysautonomia, a life-changing umbrella of conditions. It is her joy to bring this passion and diversity into the world of fantasy.

Outside of her writing obsession, Laurel is also a freelance photographer specializing in seniors, families, and couples portraits. Her photography has taken her across the country on many adventures. Her favorite places it has brought her include both the east and west coast, where she tries to make a yearly trip to the happiest place on earth.
